The Boulder Soup Census needs friendly volunteers to conduct street intercept surveys at farmers markets, parks, and community events. If you enjoy talking with people and want to help us understand Boulder's soup culture, we'd love to have you join our survey team!

Volunteer Opportunities

Field Surveyors

Commitment: 2-4 hours per shift | Outdoors | People-oriented

What you'll do: Conduct street intercept surveys at farmers markets, parks, and community events. You'll ask Boulderites about their soup preferences, record responses on printed survey forms, and hand out thank-you cards with QR codes.

Skills needed: Friendly demeanor, comfortable approaching strangers, basic note-taking. Training provided!

When: Flexible scheduling during survey collection period (primarily weekends and evenings)

Other Ways to Help

While field surveying is our primary need, there are occasionally other opportunities to contribute: helping with data entry when we're digitizing paper surveys, or spreading the word about the census in your community. If you're interested in these roles, mention it when you reach out!
